I set my alarm clock to 5 am this morning but only managed to wake up at 6:30 am. So I quickly dashed downstairs and turned on the TV and it was set point to Roger Federer in the second set. The next moment, it was game, set, Federer. I managed to catch the final of the 2008 US Open tennis match from the end of the second set onwards amid holding back my s*#t because that is the usual time I do my business. Federer didn't disappoint and successfully beat Andy Murray, who beat Rafael Nadal in the semis, from UK in 3 straight sets. This is Roger Federer's 5th successive US Open. No player has done it before. So I saw history in the making. This is Federer's 13th Grand Slam win and one away from tying the all time record of 14 Slams with Pete Sampras. This victory automatically wipes out all the doubts every were having about his ability to win another Grand Slam again after he lost the Wimbledon Final to Rafael Nadal in 5 sets.
