ATM Scare

Now, the above may look like just another ordinary ATM withdrawal slip to you but it is the slip that I was scavenging for in the dustbin of Public Bank at 10:30pm just now. I had to explain to other ATM users the reason of my doing as I looked like a crazy fool going through a pile of rubbish. I also would not want to be arrested for charges of planning a robbery.

It all started at 6:30 pm when I wanted to withdraw money from Public Bank. My account is maintained with CIMB. I tried the first time and the transaction was "cancelled". I took my ATM card and threw away the receipt. Big Mistake! I went to the adjacent ATM and tried again. Same thing. Transaction cancelled. Took ATM card, threw away receipt and went off. Another F**king Big mistake.

3 and a half hours passed and my instinct prompted me to check my account balance through the internet, CIMB clicks. Much to my horror, RM1001 was debited from my account. Panicked shit, should best describe me at that moment. Luckily, Sue Ching calmed me down and asked me to report the matter immediately to CIMB. I grab my ATM card and dialled the 1-300 number at the back of the card. The lady on the line told me that such incidents involving MEPS withdrawal have been rampant these past few days as they got quite a number of complaints. She advised me to bring the receipt to the nearest CIMB branch to report the matter and the money will be credited back to my account in 7 working days ater investigations have been done. I told her I threw the receipts away. She then gave me the alternative to bring my bank book and make the report if I did not have the receipt. But I still did not feel secured and comfortable without the receipt. So off I went to Public Bank at 10:30 pm looking for the receipts in a trash can full of the same kind of receipts. Luck was on my side. I found the two receipts after just 10 minutes and feeling much much relieved.

So the next time you get any transaction cancelled at the ATMs, do not throw away the receipts.

NERF Longshot CS-6

"Don't you dare bully me with your gun. I have one too".

"Looks too big for me"

This is the NERF Longshot CS-6 which I bought for Ee Sean as present for doing well in the exams. He wanted the gun after seeing it being advertised on TV. So if you do not want to be broke, don't let your kids watch too many advertisements.

This particular model Longshot CS-6 can be broken down into two guns.

Early Mother's Day Celebration

I decided to early celebrate Mother's Day yesterday, so as not to clash with everybody this Sunday, by bringing Mum and Dad to Tanjung Sepat for seafood at Ocen Seafood Restaurant again. We left Seremban at about 12:00 noon and reached the restaurant about 12:45 noon and the restaurant was not too full yet. By 1:30 the place was packed. I am not going to post any pictures on the food as I had a previous posting on it except that this time they did not have Ochien and Mum and Dad did not want to have crabs as it's too messy.

We had a walk along the jetty out to the fishing boats just next to the restaurant. It was very windy and Ee Sean was especially scared and he kept on asking us to turn back.

My Loving ParentsIt was so windy that Mum had to hold on to the umbrella tightly

These two seemed to be enjoying themselves at a shop selling dried foodstuff in front of the restaurant. This shop was patroned by some local celebtities before including the TV show host Axian as evident by the picture displayed in the shop.

Enjoying the sun in Sepang Goldcoast on the way back.

These two are enjoying the sun too.

Cendol Shop In Seremban

There is this Cendol shop in Seremban which I pass by quite frequently but did not bother to check it out until one Sunday when it was so hot and we just wanted to quench our thirst. So we decided to give it a try since our car was right it front of the shop. Well, not bad at all. The cendol was creamy and it was served in a very special thick steel bowl and plate. The Ais Kacang was not bad either but I did not like the 'kacang's in the 'Ais'. FYI, I also do not like peanuts in my Nasi Lemak. The shop is located along Jalan Yam Tuan. Besides cendol, this shop also serves mee goreng, rojak dan lain-lain.

Ais Kacang RM2.00
Cendol RM1.20

Ee Sean - Taekwondo Black Belt In The Making

Ee Sean together with other kids posing with their Master at the end of the Taekwondo class held at the his ex-kindy. The class was continued recently after being disrupted for a few months since last year.

Of A Missing Diamond and A Missing Tooth

Things have been going missing and then strangely reappearing again lately. First it was one of the diamonds in Sue Ching's ring. Sue Ching found out one day that one diamond dropped off from her ring and we search everywhere but to no avail. So we gave up. Strangely after a few days as I was about to start doing my morning exercise I noticed a glitter on my exercise mat and it was the missing diamond.

Then it was the loose front tooth that Ee Sean had proudly pulled out himself. The tooth was wrapped in tissue paper and was left in the Kitchen. That was last Thursday. When I came back from my badminton session, Sue Ching told me that Ee Sean was very upset and was sobbing because the tooth had gone missing from the kitchen. So I looked around the kitchen floor and searched the trash can in the Kitchen, filled with food thrown the previous night, orange skin as well as chicken b0nes. Urghhh! I looked through piece by piece of the trash 3 time but it was not there. I was about to give up when I looked into the dustbin in the living room with a few pieces of tissue and voila, the tooth was there. I was so relieved but at the time Ee Sean was already asleep. I gave him the tooth in the morning and he was so happy.

Sepang Goldcoast

On our way back from Tanjung Sepat, we drove into Sepang Goldcoast which once completed will boast of 22km of beach frontage.

The seafood restaurants at the sales office opens only at 5pm

Chinese New Year decorations were still not taken down. There was a big Chinese New Year do graced by MB and Excos from the Selangor government which included Elizabeth Wong. This was evident by the pictures on display at the sales office

Ocen Restaurant, Tanjung Sepat

Me and Sue Ching decided to go to Tanjung Sepat for seafood after reading an article in the Star Metro two Saturdays ago and the restaurant highlighted was Ocen Restaurant. It's a restaurant on stilts facing the sea. It was such a delight having lunch with a view of the sea and the sea breeze blowing at our faces. But it wasn't easy finding this restaurant. It was tucked way inside a housing area and with no signboards by the main road didn't help either. To get there, we drove about an hour from Seremban through Lukut town (If you are coming from KL, drive past Morib to get here). Upon reaching Lukut town, take a right turn towards Chuah and you will see a Chinese cemetry on your right. Without turning left or right just drive on until you reach Tanjung Sepat. Once in Tanjung Sepat lookout for the Police Station. Once you see the police station immediately take a left turn. Then take a left turn again until you see a Chinese temple on your left. From there, turn right and proceed until you see RHB bank. Ocen is just behind RHB bank. Actually, there are 3 Restaurants adjacent to each other. Ocen is the middle one. If you get lost and need directions, call the restaurant at 03-3197443.
Oyster Omelette or "Or Chien" with succulent oysters and costs only RM13
This must the restaurant's specialty, clay pot Tofu which tasted like shark's fin soup and it tasted better if taken with black vinegar. There were also chunks of crab meat in the clay pot. Price = RM10.
There is a big bottle of black vinegar on every table for the claypot tofu which shows that the dish is very popular. When I looked around, I saw this dish on every table.

Me and Sue Ching were contemplating whether to order crab or not as we were unsure of finishing 1 Kg which is the minimum order. In the end no regrets. The crabs wre so delicious and fresh and most of all it costs only RM34 per kg. We were both very stuffed at this point.
This is the Lovers' Link, a jetty that is located just next to the restaurant.

Thank You Shell

I got a call yesterday at 2:21pm and I thought that it must be another of those telemarketing call again. The lady on the line verified my name and I rudely asked who was on the line and this girl replied that she called on behalf of Shell and she mumbled something which I didn't register because I was not interested. Then she said something which really caught my attention. "Congratulations, you have won RM300 plus 300 bonuslink points in the Shell Bonuslink swipe and win contest". I asked "what contest?". I did not even know what contest it was. Then I recalled seeing the contest poster in Shell stations. By just swiping my pumping petrol and swiping my Bonuslink at Shell I just won RM300. The lady then said in order to claim my prize I had to answer the question "How many weekly winners are there in Shell's Bonuslink swipe and win contest A.700 B.800" to which I answered 700. Oooops! wrong answer. Then she said she'd give a another chance. Of course I answered 800 lah!

Hope this is the beginning of more good things to come my way in this Year of the Lembu. For details of the contest click HERE .
